Remarriage You 439

Chapter 439 You Belong To Me For This Month

Olivia was once a regular at the bar, but she had recently become involved with Jason. They were deeply in love, so she hadn't visited the bar for a while. Since Richard was relatively new, Olivia didn't recognize him.

Richard replied, "You must have your reasons."

Olivia was puzzled.

Doesn't he have a girlfriend? Being so aware, huh?

"Then, I'll just be cut to the chase, I think highly of you and I'd like to take care of you financially. What do you think?"

Without thinking, Richard nodded. "It's my honor."

Olivia was even more puzzled.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Of course."

"Could they have apprehended the wrong person?" Olivia wondered.

She took out that photograph and made a comparison.

They got the right man.

"This is the contract, have a look." Olivia had prepared the contract in advance and placed it on the table, ready for immediate signing. Richard walked over to take a closer look.

That was a sugar relationship contract.

After signing the contract, Richard was able to receive fifty thousand Atharian currency. Following that, he would receive an additional fifty to one hundred thousand Atharian currency each month, along with small gifts. Upon the contract's completion, Richard was also eligible to receive another fifty thousand Atharian currency.

Upon seeing these terms, Richard was taken aback, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

If Olivia were to financially support him for a few months, he would truly strike it rich!

Olivia's red lips curved into a slight smile as she glanced at Richard. "Just to be clear," she said, "I'm rather possessive. During the term of our agreement, if I discover you're involved with another woman, I'll reclaim all the money and property I've given you. Plus, you'll be liable for a breach of contract fee of a hundred million."

Richard assured, "I understand, I'm certain I can do it."

As soon as he signed the contract and received the fifty thousand, he planned to immediately end his agreement with Fay.

"All right, let's sign the contract then. We'll start with one month. For this month, you'll be mine."

"All right!"

Richard managed to contain his overwhelming excitement, yet he just couldn't suppress the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

He sat down, picked up the pen, and began to inscribe his name, personal information, and bank account number onto the contract.

Olivia glanced at the signed contract, a smile gracing her lips. "Excellent," she said. "Fifty thousand will be transferred to your account shortly. Now, let's have someone take you shopping for some decent clothes." "Sure, sure."

Richard followed Olivia's servants to the mall.

During that time, he received a text notification from the bank. Seeing the balance in his account, he couldn't help but break into a wide grin.

Fearing that Olivia might discover him, Richard decided to nip it in the bud quickly.

He hadn't wanted to break the agreement, but Olivia's offer was simply too generous to ignore. Anyone in his position would have made the same choice!

Richard found an excuse to go to the restroom, and immediately dialed Lenora's number.

When Richard's call came through, Lenora was in the midst of editing photos.

While she switched the phone to her left hand, she managed to operate with her other hand.

Upon hearing that Richard intended to break their agreement, Lenora was shocked, nearly believing she had misheard.

She put down her mouse, switching her phone to her right hand. Her interest in photo editing had completely dissipated. "Why? Why the sudden need to terminate the contract?" she asked.

Richard quickly explained, "I'm really sorry, Fay. Due to personal reasons, I can't continue with the contract. I will compensate according to the breach of contract clause." "You... this..."

Lenora took a deep breath. "Richard, are you sure you don't want to reconsider? The main issue is that Zachary has already met you. If you say you want to terminate the contract now, then I..." "I'm truly sorry."

Following that, the line went silent.

Lenora was taken aback, staring at the disconnected phone screen, utterly at a loss due to her frustration.

While she was still grappling with her troubles, she received a penalty payment from Richard.

Now, there was absolutely no hope for redemption.

Feeling agitated, Lenora rubbed her forehead. Why had things turned out this way?

What was she supposed to do next?

Should she keep up this charade, or should she just come clean with Zachary?

After a moment of inner conflict, Lenora decided to carry on with her work.

By noon, an email landed in her inbox.

It was from an unfamiliar sender.

Curiosity piqued, she clicked it open, only to find a series of photographs staring back at her.

The photo appeared to have been taken covertly from a distance, yet one could still distinctly identify one of the individuals in it as Richard.

He was passionately kissing a woman with a stunning figure.

The woman was leaning against the front of a car. The emblem that was visible hinted at the vehicle's hefty price tag.

It seemed as though Lenora finally understood why Richard had to break the contract.

Because someone wealthier had taken an interest in him.

But, why was there such a coincidence?

Just after Richard had broken their agreement, photos of him being intimate with another woman were sent to her.

A fleeting image of Zachary crossed Lenora's mind.

Could it have been Zachary who caused all this trouble?

A knock echoed from outside, coinciding with the lighting up of a cell phone.

Zachary sent a text through WhatsApp: Nora, I've brought you lunch. Could you please open the door?

After a moment of contemplation, Lenora enlarged the photo on her computer screen. Rising from her chair, she walked to the door and opened it, giving Zachary a long, scrutinizing look.

It was hard to believe that the solitary figure lingering by the doorway yesterday could have been him.

He flashed a smile at Lenora, shaking the food container in his hand. "Nora, lunchtime."

"Didn't you say yesterday that you wouldn't bother me anymore?"

"Indeed, I only meant not to bother you yesterday, but today is a new day," Zachary said with a smile.

Lenora was rendered speechless.

"Come in," she said.

Zachary had assumed he'd need to put more effort into winning Lenora over. Yet, when Lenora so readily let him in, he was taken aback. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Perhaps the photo had made a difference.

The two of them sat down facing each other on the sofa.

Zachary placed the food container on the table, taking out each dish from within, all of which were Lenora's favorites.

"Nora, you seem a bit different today."

"Is it because I didn't ask you to leave?"

"Perhaps so."

"Nora, what is this..." Zachary, surprised, approached Lenora's computer screen and scrutinized the photo displayed on it. "Is that Richard with another woman? Has he been unfaithful?"

Lenora's gaze fell on Zachary's face, studying his expression. "I'm not sure, it was sent to me from an unfamiliar account. However, from my professional standpoint, this photo seems to have been edited. There are clear signs of photoshopping." "This... can't be possible, right?"

Zachary's cheerful smile masked the storm of rage brewing inside him.

The photo was taken by his men using a camera, how could there possibly be any signs of Photoshop?

"How could it not be possible? Look at the car in the background, it's clearly photoshopped. I don't even know the person who sent me this photo, who knows what they're thinking? What if the woman in the photo likes Richard and deliberately created this image to drive a wedge between me and Richard?"

A vein throbbed on Zachary's forehead, nearly making him spit blood in frustration.

He struggled to keep his expression steady and, with great effort, said, "It doesn't look photoshopped to me."

Upon seeing Zachary's pale face, realization dawned on Lenora.

Richard's sudden breach of agreement was surely related to Zachary.noveldrama

The corner of her lips curved up, and she said deliberately, "Of course you wouldn't notice, you're not a professional. I've specifically studied this, I could tell there's something off about this picture at a glance."

"Did you ever misjudge a situation?"

"No."

Zachary was at a loss for words.

"This time, you've misjudged."

"How can you be so sure?" Lenora looked up at him.

"Because, this photo was taken by my men."
