The thought of Rosalie sent Theodore's head pounding. "How is Rose? My dad and I are both here and you can do anything you please with us. If you really see Rose as your sister, don't hurt her."

"Are you teaching me how to treat her?" Yerick blinked innocently. "I don't think I've ever told you this, but I hate it when someone tries to tell me what to do. I am a huge proponent of reverse psychology and of doing the opposite of what others tell me to."

Theodore knew he couldn't speak sense to or argue with someone like Yerick. Nothing would come out of it. What's more, with Rose in Yerick's hands right now, he wouldn't dare to oppose Yerick too aggressively. He didn't mind risking his life, but Rose couldn't die.

"How is she right now? Is she okay?" Theodore just wanted to know how Rosalie was doing, but Yerick refused to tell him anything after he came here.

"Rose is very upset and doesn't seem to want to be in the same space as me. I'm very upset, too. Tell me, how can I make her like being with me?" Yerick said.

"Don't you hate it when others tell you what to do? Do you really want me to teach you?" Theodore snapped.

"Oh, just listen to me. This isn't counted, you can tell me what I should do to make Rose like me."

"You should know what things are like between Rose and me. If I knew the answer to that, she would have come back to me long ago."

Theodore wished he knew what to do to make Rosalie like him back.

"That's true," Yerick said, scratching his head. "Rose doesn't seem to want to turn back to you. Even if she did like you before, that was only because she fell in love with you over time. Affections naturally develop when you spend time with another. Oh, I get it now."

Realization dawned upon Yerick.

"Rose and I just need time, and we have tons of that. I'll have a child with Rose...no, we'll have two. A boy and a girl. One will take her name and the other will take mine."

"Yerick Zeller!" Theodore became agitated at his words. "Don't hurt her. She didn't do anything wrong and she treats you so well. Can you really bear to hurt her?"

be happy with me, how is that considered hurting her? I won't. abandon her for another woman. I'm still a virgin and Rose is the only woman I like."

Yerick could almost see his future with Rosalie right before his eyes.

"Do you really not get it or are you feigning ignorance? How could Rose possibly live happily with you after all you've done? What you're doing would only hurt her."

"What else can I do? The pain is temporary and will fade with time. Rose will slowly come to accept me."

"She doesn't even accept me, so how could she accept you? I don't think you're that naive to think so."

Yerick might be numbing himself and Theodore knew he couldn't judge Yerick by normal standards. He wasn't a normal person by any standard.

"Rose can't accept you because there are too many roadblocks between you two. There's Sebastian, there's Justin, and now I've been added to the mix, too. She might come to accept you without these interferences, though. Do you know that she kneeled on the floor, crying and pleading for me to let her see you?"

"What...what did you say?" Theodore could feel his heart torn into two. "She kneeled on the floor begging you?"

"Yeah." Yerick nodded his head hard.

"She was crying so hard. I showed her a video of you covered in wounds and it made her even more upset, begging me not to hurt you. She said you're innocent, and told me not to implicate you. So, don't think Rose really hates you that much."
