Chapter 1312
Yerick opened the door and walked in, putting the tray of food on the ground.
"Hungry? I prepared some food and water for you two."
Theodore looked coldly at him. "Thank you. That's quite nice of you."
Yerick chuckled. "Don't mention it. Butchers are very nice to their pigs, too. They feed their pigs till they're nice and fat before slaughtering them."
"Yerry..." Wesley looked sadly at him. "I'm to blame for everything. Just come at me if you bear any grudge over what happened. Spare Theo, won't you? This has nothing to do with him."
"Godfather...wait, no. Mr. Spencer? What should I call you?" Yerick sat cross-legged on the ground. "Nothing seems quite right, and I can't bring myself to call you Dad. You're not really my godfather, either. It sounds too phony to call you Mr. Spencer. Perhaps I should just call you a damn bastard."
Wesley lowered his head. "You can call me whatever you want. I won't even expect you to call me Dad. Yerry, I just want to tell you that even if I die in your hands, I won't hate you. You're my son, after all. I....."
"Shut up!" Yerick cut him off. "Don't bother trying to sound nice, it's plain disgusting."
Wesley wanted to say more, but knowing that he was in the wrong, he could only remain silent. Guilt was heavy in his eyes.
Yerick then turned his attention to Theodore. "Do you feel disgusted being his son? He betrayed your mother back then and was probably a damn bastard to her, too."
Theodore looked calmly at him. "Damn bastard?"
ne
A few seconds later, Theodore said with a chuckle, "What right do I have to criticize him? I'm a damn bastard myself. But Verick, who's considered a damn bastard to you? A philandering man or a murderer who commits arson and implicates the innocent? You condone murder and arson, perhaps even destruction of the world, but you can't accept men committing the most common
mistake they make. Am I right to say that?"
Yerick's lips twitched and he scoffed, "Do you mean to say that although you're a bastard, you're still a good man? That although I'm not a bastard, I'm wicked through and through because I want to destroy the world, hurt and murder others, and commit arson?"noveldrama
"We all have our own faults. I've paid the price for my wrongdoing, but will you pay the price for yours?" Theodore said.
"Hahaha...!" Yerick started laughing wildly. "My wrongdoing? What did I do wrong? Every single person I murdered deserved it. You two deserve it, too."
"What about my mother and grandmother? Did they deserve to die? They had nothing to do with all these. They didn't know a thing!"
"Collateral damage is inevitable on
the path of revenge. What's more, your mom isn't dead now, is she?" Yerick remarked indifferently. "As for your grandmother, Aurora caused her death. Even if I didn't give Aurora that dose, she would have killed grandmother in another way. You may not know this, but she asked me to help her kill Rose many times. I didn't agree to them all. Otherwise, Rose would have died long ago."
"Are you trying to explain yourself?" Theodore said with a smirk. "I thought someone like you wouldn't bother doing that. You're always self-righteous and pompous, not bothering to explain yourself to anyone even if you committed the most heinous crime."
"Theodore Spencer, you're so
annoying," Yerick said. "You question me when I don't explain myself. Now that I've explained myself, you come verbally attacking me. Whatever you say, you must be in the right. You're so annoying. Even if you weren't unfaithful, Rose shouldn't be with you anyway. You don't deserve her at all."
What do you think?
