After the Secret Wedding Rise of My Queen

Chapter 300

Chapter 300 The Beginning of Unveiling the Truth

They had grown up together as childhood friends. Now, hearing such news, how could anyone not be filled with righteous anger?

"Leslie! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Richie choked on his words, his voice trembling with emotion.

Isabel, too, was affected by the tension, her eyes growing red.

She nearly lost control, almost rushing to Richie's side to tell him that she was Leslie.

But she couldn't. For one, she was Isabel-her previous self had died.

More importantly, there was something critical she had remembered from the scattered pieces of her past-something that had to do with the fire at the Nelson residence. The fire hadn't been an accident. It had been set on purpose.

She clearly remembered, through the fragments of her memory, her mother lying in the flames, telling her to run.

Run...

Until she could figure out who the real enemies of the Nelsons were, she wasn't going to reveal that she was Leslie.

Not long after, Isabel followed the group to the entertainment club where Leslie had been sold 20 years ago.

"Tell me! Where is that little girl?!" Richie shouted, grabbing the club owner's collar.

Around them, many girls, dressed in revealing clothes, looked terrified, their faces pale, trembling, and huddling together.

Richie couldn't bring himself to look at them any longer, fearing that among those scantily clad girls, one of them might be Leslie. Years had passed, if Leslie had been living in places like this. Who knew what kind of person she had been shaped into?

He couldn't bring himself to imagine that.

Ivana and the others shared similar feelings.

Except for Rachel.

Rachel couldn't care less about what happened to Leslie. If Leslie had become the kind of person who had to serve others, Rachel believed Xander would never spare her a second glance. Then there was Ivana.

Ivana had once loved Leslie, but that was in the past.

If Ivana saw how far Leslie had fallen, how ugly she had become ...

Rachel smirked sinisterly as she thought about it.

The club owner, trembling, finally replied, "That little girl ... she ran away. She left that very day!"

Upon hearing this, Richie, who had been holding his breath, finally exhaled in relief.

Thank goodness!

Leslie had escaped.

But-

That also meant the trail had gone cold.

"Where did Leslie go?" Ivana asked the question on everyone's mind.

In the following days, Isabel's memories flowed back like a floodgate had opened, with

fragments from her past surfacing unbidden.

After seven days, Isabel had nearly recalled everything.noveldrama

However, the password to the safe at Richie's house... still eluded her.

Isabel quickly typed a message to Beowulf and sent it.

"Help me set up a meeting with the person who posted the task. I need to meet them this Friday."

Beowulf replied instantly, "That's not how it's done."

The organization had rules. Once a task was completed, the recipient just had to submit it.

"Do I look like the type to follow all the rules?" Isabel responded. "Just tell them that this item is valuable and must be handed over in person. Otherwise, I'll return the pendant to the head of the Bennett family."

Isabel had to meet with the person

who posted the task. She was

almost certain that they were

connected to the fire at the Nelson residence.

"Fine," Beowulf replied. "But I don't think they'll agree."

Two minutes later, Isabel received a message from Beowulf.

"Boss, guess what the result was?"
