Vengeful Lies

: Chapter 24

I had a feeling she was lethal, but seeing her in action makes my cock hard, even when I have a gun pointed at my head. Watching the quick change in her personality is the sexiest and most powerful thing I’ve ever seen. In the blink of an eye, she goes from an unassuming female to a feral animal and she raises the gun with a sickly-sweet smile.

The moment I see her gaze light up with killer intent, I match it. With lightning speed, I grab the hand holding the gun to my head and steal the weapon, a basic maneuver that catches him by surprise. I hear the first shot go off as she takes out the man to my left and then spins to the one closest to her. He doesn’t even have time to get his gun out before he drops to the floor.

I put the barrel of the gun to the head of the man who held it to mine and pull the trigger. As the two elderly men beside Dee pull out their own guns, I shoot twice, hitting them each in the center of their forehead as Dee cowers.noveldrama

I twist around to cover Jewel’s back, and we shoot at the same time, one of us hitting the man in the chest and the other in his head. Within seconds, the only three remaining alive in the room are my fake fiancée, the old man who thought it was okay to undermine my authority, and me.

Her gaze sweeps the room, and when she turns toward me, we immediately raise our gun to one another’s head. Those amber eyes light up with the savage nature of the tigress I often see within her, pacing back and forth, waiting to be unleashed.

So fucking beautiful.

So fucking mine.

“I’m so happy you’re going to be my wife,” I say with an arrogant smile. Fuck me, my cock is rock hard, and I need a release. The scent of blood fills the room, and all I want to do is drive hard into her pussy as we roll around in the carnage we’ve just created together.

“Fuck you,” she spits back. I can sense the adrenaline coursing through her veins. It’s a test, really, because I’ve intentionally turned my back to Dee, wondering if she will truly cover me if he pulls out his own gun. Her gaze drifts over to him enough times for me to suspect the answer may be yes.

I step into her space and slowly lower my gun. “I’ll take that back now,” I say as I go to pluck the gun from her hand. She’s hesitant to release it as if I’m taking away all her fun. And I only want to pull her closer to me. To suffocate and consume that wild creature within.

“How can I protect you if I don’t have it?” she asks with a sinister smile.

“It’s not him I am concerned about turning my back on,” I confess as I take it from her. She inhales a sharp breath as if surprised by my praise. “Besides, I never needed protection. I could have taken them all. But I had to test you, Kitten.”

“You’re such an asshole,” she mumbles as I turn back to Dee, who is staring at his men lying dead on the floor.

If only she knew how much I loved the way she calls me that. “You can head for the car now, Kitten. I’ll finish up here.”

She throws her hand in the air, clearly pissed, and I can understand her frustration. I know what it’s like to be on a high with no targets left to release it.

“This is bullshit. You owe me a new outfit now; I’m covered in blood,” she grumbles as she exits the building. I stare after her, a cord in my neck straining with how far my neck twists as I watch her tight ass walk out of the restaurant.

“Now, I’m going to make this extremely quick. You deal with me now, Dee. If I choose to kill you and your family, I will. What you said today about my family was blasphemy. But I’m willing to overlook it as long as we come to a fair agreement.” I’m not actually willing to overlook it. I intend to kill him. But first, there’s money to be made. Once the agreements are made and signed, he’ll be dead within the week.

I don’t pardon treachery or disloyalty.

My lethal edge is only diluted by the fact that I want to keep this short so I can bury myself in the woman who is waiting for me outside. A gentle buzz hums under my skin, singing my praise and victory.

“Anything you want,” he says quickly as he looks at his deceased partners with wide eyes. If memory serves correctly, I think they were his cousins. Doesn’t matter.

“Excellent. As of today, we take sixty percent of your current dealings, and for any new businesses you conduct, we will take thirty percent.”

“That’s extortion!” he snaps.

I raise the gun to his head. “A dead man can’t complain from the grave.”

His bottom lip wobbles, and rage fills his expression. He clears his throat. “Very well. A word of advice, boy: Making enemies along your path is not the way to go.”

“Who said we’re enemies, Dee? I just don’t give leniency, and I like money.”

What perfect timing considering I recently discovered he’s gone into business with a motorcycle club in Boston, The Boston Delinquents that I have every intention of digging into their money streams.

“I’ll send the details over, and I very much suggest you don’t do anything rash. No matter how many men you have, I’ll bring an army to destroy everything you own and love. It’ll be more than just me and my fiancée coming to clean up this mess if there’s a next time.”

He goes to speak but thinks better of it and says nothing.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, it appears I have to take my fiancée shopping because your men’s blood got on her clothes.”
