"Okay, I rushed over," Sean said, waving his hand dismissively. When Tania appeared, he shot Charles a look, and they dropped the subject they had been on.

Tania was a wreck, having not slept a wink last night, and after the blood draw, she was a bit wobbly on her feet. Luckily, Charles was there to catch her hand in time. "Tania, are you okay?"

Tania shook her head. "I'm fine. Why are you still here?" She figured Charles had gone off to work after he had dropped her off.

"Yeah, just worried about you!" Charles guided Tania to a seat in the rest area. Sean came over with some candy. "You haven't been in the best shape these last few years!" He eyed Tania's face. "It's not just from missing sleep, is it?"

Tania went pale. "I..."

"Tania, don't say I didn't warn you, your health is tied to Aunt Nancy's, so..."

"I get it, I'll get back on track as soon as I can." Tania clutched the candy, her face set with resolve.

Charles's brow creased with worry, especially seeing Tania like that. He gripped her arm. "What's been going on with you these last three years?" Tania felt a flutter in her chest. "Nothing, really. I haven't been through much."

Tania was a bundle of nerves, and Charles, with his sharp instincts, knew something was off. However, if Tania was not ready to spill the beans, he would not push her. "Noelle said she's taken Brandon to the theme park."

"What?" Tania shot up, her face etched with concern. "Why would she take Brandon there? He can't handle crowds. He'll freak out!" Tania was ready to bolt, but Charles caught her arm. "Hey, Tania, take a breath. You're wound up too tight. Noelle's got a good head on her shoulders, and she adores Brandon. She wouldn't let anything happen to him."

"It's not that, bro!" Tania was on the verge of tears. "Brandon was kidnapped once at a theme park. That's why I'm scared. He's got mild autism and doesn't do well with people."

"Autism?" Charles's brow creased. "Why haven't you mentioned this before? And how on earth did he get kidnapped?"

"That's not the point! We need to find them now!" Tania did not wait for Charles to agree. She just dragged him out of the hospital.

Sean let out a couple of sighs that went ignored. He watched Charles and Tania disappear in the distance, then pulled out his phone and dialed the lab. "When's the report coming on that medicine I sent over yesterday?

"Great. The faster, the better. You've got three days, tops!"

"Calm down, Tania!" Charles raised his voice, buckling his seatbelt and shooting Tania a stern look. "Peter is Brandon's dad. Did you really think that could be kept a secret? Brandon is the spitting image of a young Peter. Also, Trevon, Peter's uncle, was just using you this whole time."
