No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 114

The next day, Noelle arrived early at Liddell Corporation. As she gazed at the towering building in front of her, it oddly felt like she was back in her past life.

She made her way straight to Frank's office on the top floor. James was already waiting there. "Ms. Liddell, please follow me."

When Noelle entered the office, she was surprised to see Frank there. Frank stood up with a flattering smile. "Noelle, you're here early. Have you had breakfast? I bought some of your favorite foods."

On the coffee table, there were various breakfast items. Frank picked up a croissant and carefully offered it to her. "Noelle, I remember you love these."

Noelle smirked. "The person who likes croissants is Xenia, not me."

At that moment, Frank's hand trembled. He hurriedly tossed the croissant aside. "Ah, my mistake. You like bagels, right?"

Noelle calmly replied, "I like pancakes."

Noelle didn't like croissants or bagels.

A wave of guilt and regret washed over Frank, making him nearly lose his balance. He looked at her with an expression so pained it was worse than tears. "Noelle, I've been such a terrible brother. Can you give me another chance?" Noelle picked up the documents on the table and coldly said, "Why bother? This is fine, isn't it?"

Tears welled up in Frank's eyes. "Noelle, I really want to make up for it."

"There's no need for that," she said. With that, she grabbed the documents and left the office without a second glance.

James looked at Frank with frustration. "Mr. Liddell, how could you mess up such a good opportunity?"

Frank gave a helpless smile. "I clearly remembered she liked this. Gordon told me so."

At this, Frank's expression darkened. "Could Gordon have purposely told me the wrong thing?"

James replied, "Mr. Liddell, it seems you haven't been paying attention to Ms. Liddell's preferences. This clearly shows you haven't been caring enough."

Frank collapsed onto the sofa, clutching his stomach in pain. "What should I do to make things right? Do you have any ideas?"

He truly wanted to repair his relationship with Noelle.noveldrama

James thought for a moment and said, "I'll talk to the manager of the branch office. I'll make sure they treat Ms. Liddell with respect when she comes to work. Let's start with the small things."

Frank nodded. "You're right. I could have Noelle manage the branch office. That way, she'll see how sincere I am in trying to make it up to her."

He suddenly recalled that Noelle had once mentioned wanting to run a company.

As she glanced at her phone, she saw a message from Frank. "Noelle, I'm sorry. It was my mistake. I got your preferences wrong. I won't do it again."

However, she really didn't care anymore. Why couldn't he understand that?

Noelle entered the branch office and approached the front desk. "Hello, I'm here to fix the software."

"Noelle, what are you doing here?"

Xenia, who was dressed in designer clothes, walked in and eyed Noelle with suspicion.

Noelle remained unfazed. "It's none of your business."

At that moment, the manager rushed out. Having heard that Ms. Liddell was coming to inspect the work, he needed to ensure she was well received. The manager looked at Noelle and Xenia, unsure of who the actual Ms. Liddell was.

The receptionist glanced at Noelle and said, "This one must be here for an interview as a technician."

The manager, Bobby Fuentes, assumed that the girl in the designer clothes must be Ms. Liddell, so he walked over to Xenia with a warm smile.
