My Four Miraculous Treasures

Chapter 86

Edith looked at Jasper affectionately, feeling excited.

Jasper was too focused on his work to even spare her a glance.

Edith began to feel uneasy and nervous when she thought about what she would say.

She was afraid that Jasper would cut all ties with her as he did with the women who confessed to him. They would never be friends again or get the chance to be near him.

However, Jasper would be taken away by Willow if she didn't confess.

She would never get another chance if that happened.

After a short mental battle, Edith decided to confess.

However, this was just too abrupt.

She went to the bar and made a cup of coffee. Then, she went over to Jasper and placed the coffee beside him. With a voice softer than usual, she urged, "Mr. Hughes, don't just focus on work. Why don't you take a break and have some coffee?" Jasper was just putting a document away after signing it. He had a sip of coffee before asking indifferently, "What do you want?"

He put the coffee back down.

Edith's heart began to race. She grew increasingly nervous as the moment neared.

She stared at Jasper's handsome face. His deep, dark eyes, his well-defined double eyelids with a faint gleam, his nicely shaped eyebrows. It was as if his face was glowing.

Her heart was pounding harder the more she looked.

She summoned her courage and said to Jasper, "Mr. Hughes, I like you."

The volume of her voice was just right. She had used the exact same tone and demeanor as she always did whenever she made a report.

However, one could hear the uneasiness and nervousness along with a hint of coquettishness in her confession if they listened closely. Jasper was reading a document. He replied without even looking up, "All the employees like me."

Edith was taken aback and realized that he might have misunderstood her.

She quickly added, "I love you. I want to be your lover. I've liked you for ten years now."noveldrama

She had served him since her teenage days, harboring an admiration that never wavered.

She felt a sense of relief after confessing the feelings she had kept inside her for ten years. She was also excited and uneasy at the same time.

Jasper finally stopped working. He

looked up and said coldly, "Do you even know what you're saying? You keep acting awkward and shy like a woman lately."

Edith was stunned. She explained as her cheeks turned red, "But Mr. Hughes, I am a woman."

Jasper replied, "I hadn't noticed."

He always regarded her as a man. She was his subordinate and comrade back in their military days, and that was what he saw her as. Yet, she now wanted to become his lover.

Edith was terribly shocked. She didn't think that Jasper would see her as a man.

Her pride was wounded, but she refused to back down. She unbuttoned her blazer and loosened her shirt's collar. She walked over to Jasper put both hands on his desk, and leaned forward until her waist was pressed against the edge of the table, facing him.

She went from cold and professional to passionate and seductive in an instant.

She leaned closer toward Jasper so he could see clearly. Then, with a tender voice, she said, "Mr. Hughes, have you noticed that I'm a woman now..."

The air around Jasper turned cold. With an icy gaze, he tossed down his pen, ready to push Edith away.

"Mr. Hughes, sorry I'm late..." Willow

apologized as she appeared at the door with a mop and broom. She

didn't mean to be tardy, but she would clean his room right away.

BUMS

She stopped mid-sentence after seeing the scene before her.

Edith was about to lean into Jasper's arms suggestively. Goodness!
