Feeling disgusted, Willow tried to pull her hand away, but she couldn't.

She panicked and said, "You're mistaken. I never told the matchmaker that I was satisfied with you." She only just learned that she was supposed to meet him. She didn't know anything before that.

"You're not being honest. I'm an office worker. I make five hundred thousand a year. I'm an only child, and my parents are civil servants. Julian's face turned red with panic. He stood up, intending to rush over with Tristan behind him.

They were just about to go when a tall and slender man with a chilling aura appeared within their sight.

That man went over to their mother, grabbed her hand, and pulled her away from Mr. Lawson with a tug.

Amid her panic, Willow bumped against a well-toned chest. When she turned around to see Jasper's gorgeous face, her eyes lit up. "Mr. Hughes!"

With a cold gaze and annoyed expression, Jasper said darkly, "Does the company pay you for nothing? Why are you slacking off here instead of working?" Willow understood him and quickly nodded. "Yes, Mr. Hughes. I'll return to my post at once."

She bowed before rushing out of the restaurant.

Mr. Lawson was intimidated by Jasper's icy glare. Feeling frightened, he smiled apologetically and said, "Sorry for the disturbance, Mr. Hughes. That was my girlfriend and we were just arguing."

This man was Jasper Hughes, patriarch of Buscen City's Hughes family, a man of the highest authority in this city. Everyone knew him!
