Chapter 79
The red wine gradually made its way to Jasper's stomach, causing a burning sensation to arise.
Even so, the alcohol was unable to suppress the annoyance he was feeling.
He had nearly lost control with Willow the second time.
This was not a good sign.noveldrama
As the supreme leader of a major corporation, he ought to be able to resist any form of temptation, including women. If he could not, someone might find an opportunity to exploit his weakness and result in his imminent failure. It seemed that he needed to continue his training.
Willow went to the restroom. She turned on the faucet and washed her face with cold water. The ice-cold sensation cooled her burning cheeks down.
She looked at her own reflection in the mirror. Tears glistened in her eyes, and even her red lips were slightly swollen and seemed to be in a darker shade of red than usual.
This was all thanks to Jasper for kissing her too hard earlier.
Her lips had become swollen because of him.
Men certainly were not to be messed with.
"Willow, are you alright?" Rachel asked in a worried tone from behind.
Willow turned around and saw Rachel, whose round cheeks were a little red from worrying.
She gently patted Rachel on the shoulder. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
"It's all my fault. If I hadn't spilled the wine, you wouldn't have had to clean Mr. Hughes' pants, and the misunderstanding wouldn't have happened..." Rachel pouted. She felt very guilty. If Jasper had done anything to Willow in the room, it would have been Rachel's fault.
Rachel was terrified by the thought.
After hearing what Rachel said, Willow suddenly realized how the awkward situation and misunderstanding began.
Willow wondered why Jasper would do all these unreasonable things to her.
This time, she was the one who started it. Jasper was a completely normal, grown man. He only kissed her out of the blue because he could not hold back.
Prior to that, she squatted down to return him his card. He thought she worked as a prostitute and wanted to do something in exchange for money.
It turned out that both incidents were misunderstandings.
Jasper would never have romantic feelings toward her.
"It's fine. It's all in the past now." Willow smiled in an optimistic manner.
"Oh, right. What happened with you and Wyatt?" Willow asked.
Rachel became even angrier upon hearing Wyatt's name. "He went somewhere else with that woman. I have no idea where they've gone."
The thought of where they had gone and what they were doing made Rachel's heart hurt. Even her breathing became heavy.
Willow did not know how to comfort
her. "Let's get back to work. We'll be done in two hours. We both sold one bottle of red wine each, and each bottle will earn us 10,000 dollars. It's a win." en
She could only help Rachel by pointing out the silver lining in the situation. In financial terms, they certainly did stand to win from this part-time job.
"Yeah, but I don't think I'm coming tomorrow." Rachel sounded a little defeated. This was not the right job for Rachel. It would only cause more trouble for Willow. "I'm not coming here tomorrow either," Willow said.
Even if Willow was under a lot of financial pressure, she refused to come back.
Although the nightclub paid well, it was also very dangerous.
She had been here thrice, and there were misunderstandings with Jasper on all three occasions. He even did those humiliating things to her. Willow did not want to let Jasper do those things anymore.
She decided to quit and find another job that could pay equally well.
What do you think?
