My Four Miraculous Treasures

Chapter 72

Rachel opened the door and was about to get in when Willow said, "Rachel, this is the backseat. You'll have to drive."

"Oh, alright," Rachel replied in a disappointed manner before quickly closing the door to the backseat. She then got into the driver's seat. Willow sighed and shook her head at the sight of Rachel's downtrodden state.

She felt very sorry for Rachel.

After Willow got into the car, Rachel turned on the engine.

While driving, Rachel couldn't stop thinking about Wyatt's handsome face.

She could never forget his devilish smile and the birthmark by the corner of his eyes.

The first time she met Wyatt, her heart soared with excitement. The second time she met him, she was greatly disappointed.

Rachel had no idea what was wrong with herself.

He had already deleted her on WhatsApp. That meant he wasn't interested in her.

What else was she hoping for?

However, she simply couldn't forget about him.

"Rachel, stop the car! The traffic light turned red!" Willow warned.

Although the traffic light turned red, Rachel had yet to slow down.

Upon hearing Willow's warning, she quickly stepped on the brake.

The car came to a screeching halt. Willow's body jerked forward. She held on tightly to her seat and prevented a fall.

Bang!

Another car rammed into theirs from behind.

The entire car was shaking, and Willow's body shook along with it.

"Crap. Someone was tailgating us!" Willow shouted.

Rachel also realized what had happened. The two quickly got out of the car to inspect the damage.

Indeed, someone was tailgating them. Rachel's car had its rear demolished. Even the internal spare parts of the car were now visible.

On the other hand, the other driver's silver car was completely unharmed.

The other driver was fully to blame for tailgating them.

Although Willow didn't have a car, she had already gotten her driving license. She knew that basics of traffic laws.noveldrama

The silver car had tinted windows. One could see from the inside but not from the outside.

Despite having tailgated them, the driver didn't seem to want to get out of the car to deal with the situation.

Rachel stood where she was with a dumbfounded expression on her face.

Willow stepped forward and tapped on the window. "Hello. You tailgated us. Can you please come out and deal with this?"

Willow knew the driver could hear her despite being inside the car.

As soon as she finished her sentence, the window was quickly rolled down. Wyatt's face appeared. "I did tailgate you, but you were a poor driver. You stopped too suddenly. Who doesn't tailgate others these days?"

"We did stop very suddenly, but you also very much tailgated us. Let's call the traffic police over. The person tailgating needs to claim full responsibility for the accident. If you can't even avoid a car that stops too suddenly, that proves you're not exactly the best driver around," Willow replied.

After hearing what Rachel said, she quickly stepped forward and tugged at Willow's sleeve. She wanted Willow to stop speaking.

She didn't want Wyatt's impression of her to turn worse.

Wyatt was amused by Willow's sharp tongue. He smiled and turned to look behind him. "Jasper, this woman you're dating is truly unusual. She even talks back to me. Not bad." Jasper?

Willow's heart skipped a beat when she heard his name.

One second later, the window in the backseat was rolled down. Jasper's handsome face with distinct jawlines appeared.
