Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir)

Nathan shoved the captured wolf into the war room, his expression cold as Cassian and Gideon stood waiting. The wolf stumbled but quickly straightened, his lips curling in a defiant snarl.

Aurora lingered in the hallway, just out of sight but close enough to hear the tension crackling in the air.

"Who are you working for?" Cassian demanded, his voice sharp and commanding.

The wolf sneered, his gaze flicking toward the map spread across the table. "You already know the answer, Alpha."

Cassian's jaw tightened. "Magnus."

The wolf smirked but didn't confirm or deny it. "You think you can stop him? He's not some rogue like Fenrir. Magnus will tear your pack apart, piece by piece. And when he does, maybe he'll let me have a seat at the table." Nathan growled, stepping forward, but Cassian held up a hand, stopping him.

"You're not at the table now," Cassian said evenly. "Which means Magnus doesn't trust you any more than I do. So why don't you save yourself and tell me what he's planning?"

The wolf hesitated, his confidence faltering for a split second. "He's gathering forces," he admitted. "Packs he's already taken under his control. Fenrir's rogues are just a small part of it. When he's ready, he's going to make a move-and your little stronghold here is first on the list."

Cassian leaned closer, his voice low and dangerous. "When?"

The wolf bared his teeth, his defiance returning. "Soon enough."noveldrama

Cassian stepped back, his expression unreadable as he turned to Nathan. "Put him in the holding cells. Make sure he's watched."

Nathan nodded, gripping the wolf's arm and dragging him out of the room.

Aurora slipped away before Nathan could see her, her heart pounding as she made her way back to the healer's quarters. She couldn't shake the wolf's words, the way he'd spoken about Magnus's power and the inevitability of his attack.

Iris looked up as Aurora entered, her brow furrowing in concern. "You look pale. What's wrong?"

Aurora hesitated, her hands twisting in front of her. "There's a spy. In the pack."

Iris's eyes widened. "A spy? Who?"

"I don't know," Aurora admitted. "Cassian caught him. But he said Magnus is coming for us-soon."

Iris's expression darkened. "Then we need to be ready. Whatever it takes."
